Surviving Your Blessings

Speaking of finding great artists, the illustrator for Surviving Your Blessings is an illustrator fairly new on the scene, doing great work. Rebecca Stuhff was just graduating when this book came to market in the spring of 2010. For the last 18 months I've had the invitation to her BFA show hanging on my wall to keep her name fresh when another project that fits her style comes up. She was professional and swift in her turn around, and really good at taking art direction and adding life to it. Check out her other work at www.rebeccastuhff.com.

Discovering Adam-ondi-Ahman

I love finding new artists. Discovering Adam-ondi-Ahman is a new talk CD that's coming out this month by Randall Bird. When given this cover to work up, I went looking for art of Adam-ondi-Ahman. Something new, something that hasn't been overused again and again. I came across a painting by Lester T. Nielsen, turned out he had a few images that would have worked, but this one far and away was my favorite. I look at it and I can hear the bugs buzzing and feel the heavy air of late summer. This is Missouri! (I don't know if it was late summer when he painted it, but I can feel it!)

400 Questions... New Testament

Here is Susan Easton Blacks 400 Questions and Answers of the Life and Times of Jesus Christ. This one was released last fall. It has been very well received. This one was different than a lot of commentaries that I've worked on, in that the text really required specific historical images that weren't always easy to find. In the end this one turnedout really nice.
